Our Cornflower organic hydrosol (also known as Bachelor’s Button) is steam distilled from organic flowers. It contains a high level of aromatic molecules, is undiluted, edible, and free from any preservatives, alcohol, or emulsifiers. 100% pure and natural organic (USDA, Ecocert) therapeutic grade.  With sweet and herbal floral aromas, Cornflower hydrosol is traditionally used for its many therapeutic benefits, especially calming and anti-inflammatory.  Plants never just do one thing, they always provide multi-functions for your overall health including skincare, and haircare though everyone may have a different reaction.

Hydrosols are water-tolerant and highly susceptible to microbial contamination. If you’re considering drinking hydrosols, it’s crucial to make sure they are fresh and free from preservatives.

If pregnant or under a doctor’s care, please consult your physician or a certified aromatherapist first to avoid adverse conditions.

Hydrosols are very mild and safe for topical use; however, everyone’s skin is different. For safety reasons, it is recommended to conduct a skin test before using the hydrosol for the first time to avoid adverse reactions.

Do not use hydrosols during the first trimester of pregnancy because of the potential presence of phytohormones.

How to use

Our organic cornflower hydrosol can be used by itself or combined with other hydrosols, carrier oils, and essential oils with complementary properties to maximize the benefits.  Here are some uses of cornflower hydrosols: 

• Can be taken internally and externally
• Suitable for all skin types, especially for dull, oily, sensitive, and mature skins 
• Can be as a Facial Toner 
• Can be used as a face mist to absorb excess facial oil during the day
• Topically as a compress for irritated or swollen eyes
• Add it to the paper mask then put it on the cleansed face after applying the facial oil. Leave it on for 20 – 30mins then massage it gently into the skin
• Spray for calming and relaxation
• Compress for bruises when use alone or blended with helichrysum and cistus hydrosols
• Can be used around animals safely such as deodorizing, repelling fleas, for skin issues, and calming down
• Can be used for sleepy-time sprays, in baths, and even in homemade baby wipes
• Can be room fresheners to carry a lighter aroma that dissipates quickly.  More affordable than essential oils.
• Add it to water for creating a relaxing aromatic bath
• Perfect replacements for water in hot or cool compresses
• Spray or compress it on cuts or scrapes to help ease inflammation and begin healing
