Exfoliants
Exfoliants are particles that are added to a facial or body polisher with the function of removing dead skin cells through mechanical force, resulting in a more bright and more soft complexion. To have all the benefits of a cosmetic polisher, it is important to choose the exfoliator according to the formulation’s composition, to determine its right concentration, and also to consider the part of the body where the product is going to be used. In natural skincare, the exfoliator particles used are naturally derived, biodegradable, and usually insoluble in the vehicle used. Those particles can be found in a variety of sizes, smoothness, and compositions and determine the grade of abrasion of the final product.
