Description

Soy wax is a 100% vegetable non-toxic wax derived from soybean oil that is available in several forms like soy wax flakes. It is widely used by non-toxic candle makers for container candle. It creates candles with a smooth, opaque finish and contains soy-based additives that helps to reduce frosting and strengthen the fragrance throw. It is a great alternative that burned cleaner and considered more environmentally friendly without the worry of indoor air pollution. All the burn times on this website are approximations and only meant as a guide. Soy beans are natural, renewable and biodegradable. Product Details

How to use

This wax can be a little too soft for the summer heat.  It is for Container and Tealight use.

1. Heat wax up to 85°C using a double boiler
2. Add 6% of fragrances (1 oz. per pound of wax) remove from heat, and let cool to ????
3. Stir it for 2 minutes.
4. Pour at 57-58°C (+/-5°F).
5. Pour in fragrance oil. Stir VERY GENTLY to avoid introducing air bubbles caused by stirring too quick. You can do number 8 strokes while mixing.
6. Slowly & steadily pour into containers at temperatures between 68°C to 71°C
7. Allow candles to cure for two weeks for optimal fragrance throw and before testing your candles.
8. This wax can be colored and scented.  Scent can be formulated with either plant-based fragrance oils – Essential Oils and Natural Isolates.
