Description
Niacinamide is “an amide derivative of nicotinic acid”, also known as Vitamin B3. It is a water-soluble vitamin that works fantastically with the natural substances in our skin to help minimize enlarged pores, improve complexion, tighten lax pores, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and glow dull skin. A very popular ingredient in anti-aging skincare formulations.

| Weakness: | It is a wired but happen sometimes. It can be problematic in very acidic formulations as it can break down into niacin, causing flusing and irritation. |
| Substitution: | Nothing is a complete substitution. May be Vitamin B5, botanical extract or hydrolyzed protein could a decent choice as plays some of the same roles in skin formulation. |
| Storage & Shelf Life: | Around 3 years. Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid moisture and humidity. |

Soluble in water:
Use level: 1%-6% in a final formulation, may use slightly higher in some specific skincare products.
Highly recommend The Ordinary’s 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc formulation.
